Common Features
Differences between oscillating and intermittent modes:
In the medical literature, it is reported that the use of intermittent negative pressure settings, such as -100 mmHg followed by 0 mmHg, demonstrates efficacy in treating chronic wounds and preventing clogging of dressing pores, especially when exudates are present that can block them. However, it is important to note that rapid changes in pressure can be distressing for some patients and compromise their adherence to therapy.
The oscillating depression mode allows you to provide an intermittent stimulus, but in a more gentle way. This is done by creating a more gradual pressure variation curve, determined by the oscillation period and the two set depression values, for example, [-80; -120] mmHg.
